1. Terms & Conditions of
These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of goods sold by YourOnlineOptician.com (“We”) to the consumer (“You”).
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and you will be bound by these if we accept your order. If you do not agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions then please do not place an order through YourOnlineOptician.com.
All goods are sold subject to availability at the price advertised at the time of placing your order. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights. Nothing said by any sales person on our behalf should be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of any goods offered for sale by us. This contract between you and YourOnlineOptician.com shall be governed by, and interpreted in accordance with, English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes.
2. Conditions of
You must be 16 years of age or over to order from YourOnlineOptician.com. You must not be registered blind, partially sighted or ordering on behalf of someone under the age of 16 years.
You must be in receipt of a valid prescription given to you by a registered optician or general medical practitioner. The prescription issued must be within the last two years or within the last year for anybody in the following categories:
Over the age of 70
Suffering from diabetes
Suffering from glaucoma or is at risk of developing glaucoma
Is aged 40 or over and has/had a relative suffering from glaucoma (relative is termed as father, mother, sibling, child).
No binding contract will exist until your order has been accepted.
We shall not be liable for any errors made by you when entering your prescription details online. If you are unsure of your prescription, please consult a registered optician before placing your order.
3. Description of Goods
We do our best to ensure that the pictures and descriptions of frames are accurate. However, in the unlikely scenario where an error does occur, we will endeavour to correct any errors as soon as we are made aware of them and will inform you if they relate to frames/sunglasses you have purchased.
4. Ordering
All orders will be confirmed via email within 48 hours of purchase. In the unlikely scenario that a frame is out of stock at the manufacturer we will inform you within 48 hours of placing the order to offer you a revised timetable for delivery, an alternative model or a full refund.
If an error is discovered in the price of the goods that you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible. In the event that you order an item and the price published on the site is incorrect for any reason, we will contact you to let you know the correct price and ask you whether you still wish us to fulfill your order at this price. We shall be under no obligation to fulfill an order for a product which was advertised at an incorrect price.
5. Delivery & Inspection

All orders will be delivered to the address specified by you on the order form. We aim to dispatch goods within 14 days of order. However, in some circumstances delivery may take longer, if this is the case we will inform you immediately.
All prescription frames and sunglasses are sent by First Class registered post. When you receive your frames/sunglasses, please inspect them thoroughly and check that your prescription matches the enclosed prescription statement as ordered. In the unlikely event of any discrepancy, please do not use the frames/sunglasses and notify us immediately by either visiting the Contact Us section of the website or emailing us directly at customerservices@youronlineoptician.com
6. Price & Payment
The price stated at checkout is the total price payable including delivery. Unless we agree otherwise, we must receive payment for the total cost of the goods you order plus any applicable charges for carriage and insurance, before your order can be accepted.
7. Rights to Cancel
Your Right to Cancel:
You have the right to cancel your contract with us at any time within 48 hours of placing your order. Such notice may be given by emailing cancelorder@youronlineoptician.com. This right does not apply at any time after we have started to customise any materials in accordance with your requirements.
Our Right to Cancel:
We reserve the right to cancel the order in the following circumstances:
. we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered;
. do not deliver to your area
. one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price.
If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 28 days of your order.
We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Your Right to Transfer:
This contract is personal to you. Nobody other than you will be able to benefit from this contract. You may not transfer your rights or the benefit of any of the provisions of this contract to any other person without our prior written permission.
Our right to transfer:
We reserve the right to subcontract part or all of the order to any person or company.
8. Return & Exchange Policy:
Customer satisfaction is imperative at YourOnlineOptician. We are committed to making your shopping experience a stress free purchase. If the eyewear you have purchased is not to your liking, you may return/exchange it within 14 days of the dispatch date (as stated on your receipt). All returned frames/sunglasses must be in resalable condition: damage free in original packaging with related accessories (case, cloth etc).
All returned items will subject to a 15% re-stocking fee (shipping will not be credited). We do not refund customs duties or other expenses - only the amount paid for the product.
All prescription lenses are custom made and therefore are not refundable. This includes any optional extras that you may have chosen for your lenses (including, tints ARC etc).
We guarantee to make your lenses to the exact specification you have entered on our website. However, in the unlikely scenario that we make a mistake with your lenses we will correct this at no extra charge. Please contact us immediately on customerservices@youronlineoptician.com.
Please be aware that we are not liable for prescriptions that have been entered incorrectly on our site.
9. Resale of Goods:
We will only supply goods on the understanding they are intended for the purchaser and are not to be resold to the public.
10. Your Personal Data:
We and any of our subcontractors will fully comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 in relation to personal data received from you in relation to this contract and shall only process personal data received from you where necessary to fulfill our obligations under this contract.
We reserve the right to record any telephone calls that you make to our customer helpline.
We require your web browser to accept the use of cookies in order to temporarily store information regarding your order and configuration details only.
11. Limitation of our Liability to you:
This section applies only to the extent permitted by law. We do not accept liability for any indirect loss, consequential loss, loss of data, loss of income or profit, loss of damage to property and/or loss from claims of third parties arising out of the use of this site or for any products or services purchased from youronlineoptician.com
We do not accept liability for any errors and omissions and reserve the right to change information, prices, specifications and descriptions of listed goods, products and services.
